Keto Avocado Salad Recipe Easy to Make
This keto avocado salad recipe easy and quick to prepare. When finished, it should give you about 5 grams of carbs. If you eat it with chicken, tuna or salmon, that would be approximately 5 grams per meal. You can turn it into one carb per meal if you leave out the onion. ½ a cup of purple onion has a 15g carb count. You can reduce it to ¼ cup or even 1/8th of a cup. The recipe makes about 4 portions.
You will need:
- 3 – 4 ripe avocados
- ½ or ¼ cup purple onion
- About 4 large Hearts of Palm
- Chop the onion
- Cut the avocados in small pieces
- Slice the hearts of palm in half, and cut in small slices
- Put all ingredients in a salad bowl, and prepare the dressing.
Avocado Salad Dressing Recipe
You will need:
- 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
- A teaspoon of raw honey (5g of carbs per teaspoon)
- Apple cider vinegar
- Lemon juice
- Extra virgin olive oil
Take the minced garlic and put it in a salad dressing bottle. Add the raw honey. Fill the bottle to ¼ with apple cider vinegar and up to half with lemon juice. Fill to the top with extra virgin olive oil. You can also add mixed herbs to the dressing.
Let the dressing rest for a while (at least half an hour) and mix thoroughly. Pour over salad and toss gently until all the avocado pieces are covered in dressing.
